We have two runners today, one on the flat and the other jumps.Hezahunk makes the short journey to Wolverhampton for the 2:20. A new horse to us with just the one start in our colours. Hezahunk didn't handle the quick ground and found seven furlongs too far at Doncaster. The drop to six should suit. This looks a good race with Archiano holding a Group 1 entry, if he is a Group horse, he'll win t...

A fun evening is ahead, we venture North with two runners, both at the lovely Thirsk racecourse. Kotyonok and Val De Travis run. Before that, a stable visit at David Pipe’s took place this morning for the owners of Awesomedude and Nibras Gold. Kotyonok runs first in the 6:35. It’s Koty’s debut, he’ll need further than a mile, but certainly has a future from what we see at ...

We start the week with a runner at Kempton in the first race, Carn A Chlamain takes his chance with Stan Sheppard in the saddle.George, as we call him, won on hurdles debut for his owners at Southwell. It wasn't the best of races, but  George won with a bit to spare and showed a decent turn of foot in the process.Today's is race is much harder, Finest View and Galahad Threepwood look the two ...

A super weekend of racing at Newmarket with the 2000 and 1000 Guineas taking place plus many other valuable races. The jump season also starts again, with Uttoxeter and Hexham holding fixtures. It’s far from original, but with the form of Godolphin and Charlie Appleby, it’s hard to take them on in the 2000 Guineas at 3:40. Native Trail looks very smart, stall 15 could make life tough...

Nottingham today with Kotyonok who will be our only runner of the week.Koty makes his racecourse debut. Unraced flat horses isn't normally a path we go down, but with knowing the family so well and able to secure him for just £3,200, it was impossible not to have a go. The owners named Kotyonok, it means kitten in Russian and follows the family naming. Koty is a half brother to Nikolayeva a...

Two runners today, but it’s possible this might come down to one. Dibble Decker 1:50 Sandown and Hezahunk 5:35 Doncaster. Dibble Decker is set to take his chance in the 100k Championship Novice at Sandown. However, trainer Tom Lacey will walk the track beforehand and decide if DD can run. Dibble Decker is a big strong heavy horse who we like, he won’t be asked to run on quick ground....

Val De Travers runs again today, this time at Catterick in the 1:40.Travis won nicely on debut for his owners at Nottingham on Saturday, the handicapper is putting him up 6lb. Because of this, we have to run again today and had our hand forced a little as Val De Travers won't be in a 0-60 again.Hopefully, some freshness will have gone out of Travis, he was very excited at Nottingham. The run comes...

Carn A Chlamain won nicely for his owners on hurdles debut at Southwell. George as we call him jumped great and showed a fair turn of foot at the business end of the race. A lot of work had gone into Carn A Chlamain, he looked to have lost his way, it was a sound team turnaround effort. Good racing today and plenty of meetings, as you would expect over the Easter holidays. We have a runner at Not...

Plenty of good racing this week taking place. It's nice to have the flat back with the Craven meeting at Newmarket. I'm not sure if we've seen a Guineas or Derby candidate yet, but it's very early days. Cheltenham also hold a good two-day meeting, there's certainly something for everyone and a Bank Holiday coming up too! At Newmarket in the 2:25 The Wood Ditton, Francesco Clemente is thought as b...

All Thumbs Up makes his debut for us and his owners at Southwell today in the 4:00. We purchased All Thumbs Up from the Goffs Doncaster sales last year, given a break since, with the aim of running through the Spring and Summer months. We'll learn plenty about him this afternoon, not a quick horse, hence up in trip, but he seems a straightforward type that will jump a fence in time.

We start the week with a runner at Windsor and get our turf season under the way. Vocatus takes his chance in the 4:30.Everything was firmly crossed for rain and a lot of it, sadly it's not arrived, and the going will be good. Vocatus is much happier on grass, especially when hoof deep in mud. Vocatus has been on the go for a long time and a holiday is coming. We've held fire for a couple of runs...

Just a quick note on the Scottish Grand National. My two against the field are, History Of Fashion priced at 20-1 and The Ferry Master 11-1. Both EW with a few bookies paying 7 places. History Of Fashion is crying out for a test of stamina. If able to put in a clear round, I’m confident he’ll run a big race. The Ferry Master was fourth in the last year and is now 5lb lower. A recent ...

Sea The Clouds runs at Fontwell today in the 4:25. Brendan Powell takes the ride.Sea The Clouds has run well in two bumper races so far, showing plenty of promise. He also jumps grand and will be a nice novice hurdler next season for his owners. This run will likely be his last of the season and holiday time after today. On paper, Rambo T is going to be very hard to beat. His form is stronger, wh...

Olympe De Gouges made the long journey to Musselburgh yesterday in prep for her race this afternoon at 1:45.This is a quick turnaround for Olympe who won seven days ago at Doncaster. We don't have much choice but to run again as Olympe De Gouges is going up a whopping 22lb!This is a much deeper race but well worth ago with the £30,000 of prize money up for grabs. If we can pick some of that...
