Artistic Language runs at Southwell in the 3:37. This is the first run since a wind op, a simple palate fire has taken place. The ground might be a bit lively for Artistic Language whilst carrying 11-12 with approx four stone of lead in the saddle is a lot of dead weight. Hopefully the wind procedure will have helped and Artistic Language can see his race out better.

Pisgah Pike heads to Kempton this afternoon and takes his chance in the 3:45. It's a trappy race on paper that could end up tactical, no obvious front-runner. Just the six horses line up, all are in fair form and cases can be made for each one. Hopefully the ground is as described, Pike needs a sound surface. This will likely be Pisgah Pike's last run of the year, he's had a great season and tou...

We have Dame De Ruban running at Ascot this afternoon in the 1:30. It’s always nice to have a Saturday runner at a big racecourse in a decent race. Dame De Ruban has run two sound races for her owners so far, the big question mark today would be the ground. All form comes on sound surface and Ascot certainly won’t be that. This race will be a real slog, we don’t have a clue if D...

Super racing this afternoon, Cheltenham is very much centre stage where conditions will likely get tough as the day goes on. Plenty of rain is forecast through the day. The Paddy Power Gold Cup is the feature at 2:15. I’ve had a few quid EW on Siruh Du Lac who makes his stable debut for one of our trainers, David Pipe. Siruh Du Lac is already a very nice horse but if the yard can improve h...

Tinsmith runs today in the 1:30 at Taunton. I could write a book on this horse but touch wood we have a clear path now. Tinsmith broke four ribs when a horse fell on him on debut at Worcester. It's been a long road back from that. Tinny must be one of the biggest horses in training, he's at least 17h and a giant, his future is very much over a fence. This race is all about Tinsmith enjoying hims...

We start the week with a runner at Carlisle, Stung For Cash runs in the 2:56. This is Stung For Cash first run for 594 days, It's great to have him back on the racecourse. He's a horse we like and should make a nice staying chaser next year. It's a big ask taking on race fit horses after a lengthy absence, Cash is bound to improve loads for the run. We're just hoping for a fair effort, anything ...

We head to Aintree today with Yes No Maybe So, this will be his last run of the year as holidays are very much due. Yes No Maybe So still seems in very good form, he’s won four times this season but the ground has likely gone for him now. The reports say Aintree is good to soft but the going stick reading suggests heavy. We have no idea how it will ride to be honest but with it being the l...

Fiscal Prudence makes his hurdles debut today at Warwick in the 11:55. The looks a good juvenile race with a plenty of horses ticking the right boxes to make up into smart young hurdles. Fiscal Prudence showed fair form on the level, his fifth-place effort at the Currgah reads well. Stamina is a question mark for our horse, if he gets two miles, we’ll find out shortly. Fiscal Prudence has ...

Dame De Ruban ran a super race yesterday, finishing 3rd whilst giving 20lb to the winner and 22lb to the second. It was just about mission impossible from a winning point of view, but Dame never stopped galloping and will be a cracking staying chaser in time. Flash De Clerval makes his seasonal debut and chasing debut at Sedgefield in the 2:50. Flash runs for the first time for Harry Whittington...

We run Dame De Ruban at Musselburgh this afternoon in the 1:50. Dame Du Ruban ran well on her debut for us three weeks ago finishing third at Market Rasen. This a competitive race, Dame is top weight and will carry a further 6lb because of the no sauna / body protector allowance. The step up in trip will suit Dame De Ruban but giving well over a stone to some of her main rivals could be tough. D...

It was a bizarre afternoon at Uttoxeter yesterday, top jockeys had a rush of blood to the head and set unsustainable gallops in a good few of the races. They gave their horses no chance. The bumper was the fastest ran since Cheltenham, the leaders all fell into a hole, it really was crazy watching it. Our horse was flat out from flag fall and learned nothing on the day. Stan did the right thing i...

I'm really looking forward to today's racing. We have Pirate Of The Sea making his racecourse debut in the 2:35 at Uttoxeter. Plus a horse I’ve been looking forward to watching over a fence, makes his chasing debut at the meeting. Across the water at Down Royale, the likes of Queens Brook, Abacadabras and Envoi Allen all run on a cracking card at the Irish track. Pirate Of The Sea is a ful...

Grizzman makes his hurdles debut and debut in our colours at Bangor this afternoon.  The form of his 3rd placed effort in the Fontwell bumper, has worked out well. The winner went in again by 13l on his first try over hurdles. The trip will be plenty sharp enough for Grizzman and he wouldn’t want deep ground. He’s a horse Tom Lacey likes though and will hopefully show plenty of ...

Racing from Cheltenham takes centre stage today, it’s a fair card but nothing special. A few of the races have small field sizes which is disappointing. I’ve had a speculative few pounds EW on Chidswell in the 2:33 at Kelso. This a decent staying race with the likes of Truckers Lodge, 2nd in the Welsh National and winner of the Midlands version making the long journey. Paul Nicholls ...

Pisgah Pike won easily on Monday as we hoped he would. He's looking very progressive and deserves to take his chance in a big race. We send Nikolayeva to Newcastle this afternoon, Eva runs in the 4:30 with Ben Curtis in the saddle. This will likely be Nikolayeva's last run of the season, she's won three times and had a good time of things. This will also be the first time Nikolayeva has raced on...

We start the week with a runner at Plumpton, Pisgah Pike lines up in the first race at 2:10. This will be Pisgah Pike's last run of the year, he'll have a holiday and likely come back in the Spring on the nicer ground. Pike has to give weight away to all this afternoon as he carries a winners penalty. In such a race, you never quite know what your taking on but hopefully Pisgah Pike can go well ...
