We purchased Baily Gorse for £12,000 privately from Ireland. He’s a horse that’s been on our watchlist for sometime. Baily Gorse is well bred and comes from a proven family hence costing €38,000 as a store. He’s also a big lad standing at 16.3h
Baily Gorse form in Ireland is patchy but there’s some good efforts in the book that have worked out well.
Fifth of sixteen at Leopardstown reads well. The fourth placed horse is now rated in the mid 120’s, Diol Ker just two lengths ahead in third, is now one of the most promising young chasers in Ireland. The first and second are now 130 rated horses.
We’ll bid to get Baily Gorse feeling well and in a good place. Hopefully, we can turn him around and have some fun in the Spring.
Baily Gorse will be trained by Tom Lacey.
