Our Horses

Competition was purchased privately for £14,000 in August 2017. We had this horse on our radar for some time and were delighted to secure him.

Competition is a big strong horse standing at 16.2 hands. His sire is the classy Multiplex, who's bred numerous smart horses on the flat and over jumps.

On debut, Competition was a very good  2^nd in a National Hunt Flat race. He was then sent to the 2016 Aintree sales with a £80,000 reserve. The bidding reached £75,000, just shy of the asking price.

Competition didn’t make his hurdles debut until a year later but ran some fair races on the flat without quite showing the promise of his debut effort. That was until his first start over hurdles. Competition finished an unlucky second behind a useful type. The form of the race has worked out nicely with horses behind winning.

We are very hopeful a change of scenery will bring the best out of this scopey horse. Competition will run through the Spring & Summer of 2018.
