Shajak ran a cracker in the Northumberland Plate yesterday, beaten just five lengths. He looks a steal at 9,000gns and has a big staying race in him.

We head to Uttoxeter today with Only The Bold & Howth.

Only The Bold runs in the big chase race of the summer, it's great to have runners in these races for owners. £75,000 of prize money is up for grabs.

Conditions will be on the quick side for Bold, if he can stay in touch and be within 10 lengths on the turn for home, he'll come home strong. 

Howth has been impressive, winning both of his hurdle starts so far.

A move into handicap company is a big jump. Howth will have to run faster and jump quicker than he's done so before. If he can cope with it at this early stage of his jumping career, we'll find out.
