Two runners today, but it’s possible this might come down to one. Dibble Decker 1:50 Sandown and Hezahunk 5:35 Doncaster.

Dibble Decker is set to take his chance in the 100k Championship Novice at Sandown. However, trainer Tom Lacey will walk the track beforehand and decide if DD can run.

Dibble Decker is a big strong heavy horse who we like, he won’t be asked to run on quick ground. Sandown have watered and done their best to provide good ground. If we decide to run, good going might even be on the lively side for Dibble who won on soft last time out, we’ll see how things pan out later. Either way, he's an exciting horse for chasing next season.

Hezahunk makes his debut for us and owners at Doncaster this evening. He works nicely at home, but will improve for the outing. This is also his first start on turf, ran twice on the AW in Ireland. We’ll learn plenty about him. I hear the Stoute horse is liked.

Back at Sandown, the 2:25 is a tricky race despite just four runners.

Saint Calvados doesn’t stay, although today’s ground might give him a chance. Mister Fisher has a good record at this level, he was pulled up at Aintree and can throw in the odd howler. The veteran, Nuts Well, carries a penalty, that makes him hard to fancy.

If we can get Saint Calvados beat, the winner should be one of Mister Fisher or Erne River, who is the unexposed horse but needs to find a bit. Both horses can be backed for a little profit.

At Leicester, the 3:51 looks a cracker, with horses coming into the race with lofty reputations. None more so than Ruling Dynasty who is considered a Group horse in the making and works with the top horses in the yard.

He'll need to be smart to win this on debut, whilst odds are long gone for today. However, he might be worth an EW few quid for the Epsom Derby before this race at 50-1.
