Plumpton today with two runners, both horses could be having their last outings of what’s been a great season for both horses.

Howth has been fantastic since making the switch to jumps racing. Winning four of his five starts.

Today’s race is a fair ask on paper, giving plenty of weight away to some smart horses that are well handicapped. This race will take some winning, hopefully Howth has another big run in him.

Mr Le Philosophe runs in the race after Howth, it will be a busy hour or so. Phil has been hit hard by the handicapper, up 20lbs since we bought him.

This track should suit better than Sedgefield last time out but as per Howth and more so, Phil must give pounds and stones away to his rivals.

He’s also had a busy time of things, if we can finish in the frame, that would have been a super effort.
