Absolute Steel gave his owners a 200-1 win at Exeter yesterday. The winning odds were the biggest since 1999 and the joint second largest ever recorded. Betfair paid out at 813-1!

Absolute Steel was always going to win races, he's a nice horse that will require 3m and a fence. The biblical conditions turned the race into a stamina test, and that's what won the day.

In second, was Lowry's Bar, the 4-9 fav and unbeaten in four runs with a rating of 133. Hopefully the handicapper doesn't go crazy!

We travel to Catterick today with Had To Be Hugo who runs in the 2:30.

The return to hurdles should suit, whilst we'll ride Hugo different to of late. If the favourite stays, he'll be very hard to beat. We'll be trying to pick up the pieces.
