The Aintree Grand National meeting starts today, this is my favourite jump meeting of the season.
Grey Dawning was my Cheltenham Festival nap and got the job done. However, I'm not so keen backing horses at Aintree that ran at the festival.
I've had one bet today and backed Sir Gino in the 2:20, priced at 11-10.
Sir Gino was pulled out of Cheltenham due to the bug in the Henderson yard, reports suggest this horse was always fine. Sir Gino has looked top class in his runs so far, and I'm sure would have won the Triumph.
The form of the yard is the main concern, but if you are willing to take a chance on that, Sir Gino will take the world of beating if running to form, he looks a real prospect.
