Howth stayed every yard of the 1m6f trip at Wolverhampton last night to win the feature race and a decent prize. The win had been coming, Howth had been going close in some strong races.

He might head to Newcastle now for the stayers race on AW Champions Day.

We have another runner today, it's been a busy three days. Askmore lines up in the 4:20 at Newcastle.

Handicap debut, Askmore is a big raw horse that will be a stayer in time over a fence. The trip of 2m4f will be plenty sharp enough, but the heavy ground should ensure the race is a test.

Askmore carries a hefty 12 stone, he's still learning his trade but can hopefully finish his race off well.
