We have our first runner for a couple of weeks this afternoon at Beverley, Hedge Fund runs in the 4:15.

Hedge Fund is in good form and a much healthier horse than last season. We've not been hard on him at home, he'll improve plenty for this outing against race fit rivals.

Drawn in stall 8 makes things tough, a low draw over the 5f at Beverley is a must. Horses on the outside, start on raised ground and can end up v wide going into the bend that comes quickly.

It's a starting point for the season, we'll see how we go.
