Sunday was a fantastic day with Only The Bold winning the £75,000 Summer Cup.

Given the most brilliant ride by Gavin Sheehan, it was all about staying in touch the best we could in the early parts of the race.

Stamina kicked inside the last half mile, Bold was terrier like chasing down the horses in front of him. A big jump was needed at the last fence and we got it. Bold was not going to be denied then and ran down the Irish challenger.

A magical day for Only The Bold’s owners that will live long in the memory.

Worcester this afternoon with two runners. Knights Affair & Mr Le Philosophe.

Knights Affair drops in trip by five furlongs, this isn’t sure to suit, but Worcester is a big open galloping racecourse that gives horses plenty of time to get rolling.

Intosomethinggood has looked a nice type, placed in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham before winning well over C&D last time out. Nana Noodleman could be anything and gets plenty of weight.

Mr Le Philosophe should enjoy the track. With a repeat of previous runs, that would put him in the mix. Gone In Sixty and Lunar Ocean are both unexposed types.
