Postponed trained by Roger Varian won the feature race on day one of the York Ebor Festival. It was a great result for the yard who've been struggling for the past few months with a virus that’s hit Newmarket.

Mr Varian has done a great job with Postponed, he’s proved himself to be the best middle distance horse in training at the moment. It’s just a shame he’s owned by who he is. Nothing more needs to be said on that gentleman though, apart from he’s no gentleman.

Oceane as highlighted on here yesterday ensured a few quid was made on the first day of York when winning at 7-1.

Fair Eva a daughter of Frankel will be looking to keep her unbeaten record in the Lowther Stakes at 2:30. She’s un-backable today at 2-5 but maybe the 4-1 for next years 1000 Guineas could be worth a small wager. That price can only get shorter if she wins again today. The filly has been hugely impressive in her 2 starts and looks the real deal.

Nothing takes the fancy at York it looks very tough. One horse who could win today however is Victor Leudorum in the 5:15 at Stratford, priced at 7-4.

Victor Leudorum was once rated in 130’s but has come down near 20lbs in the past few years. The horse found his mojo again last time out when bolting up by 23 lengths over hurdles. He goes back chasing today, if remaining in the same form / mood, Victor Leudorum should go close as he’s very well handicapped.

Just one share in each of our new winter horses remain, Greyed A and West Of The Edge. Both are now in pre-training and will be ready to run in October. More info below.
