We were very happy with Rhythm Star’s 3rd place at Wincanton on Thursday, Star jumped and travelled great in horrible conditions whilst gave 6lb to the winner and a stone to the 2nd placed horse. Off levels she would have gone very close and continues to give her all in every race. Rhythm Star is a cracking genuine mare and keeps giving her owners great days out.

Good racing today but all taking place on nasty going that will take a lot of getting.

I was hoping to have a fair bet on Pain Au Chocolat in the 12:40 at Sandown, highlighted on here before the horse is the best young Juvenile in the Alan King yard and held in high regard. Unfortunately Pain Au Chocolat could be up against a smart one going by the name of The Saint James who makes his debut for Jonjo O’Neill after been purchased for 320,000 Euros.

The Jonjo yard seem to be coming back to form whilst The Saint James showed a lot of ability in France. I’m still going to have a few quid on Pain Au Chocolat but scale down the bet as the market is speaking favourably for the newcomer.

Good luck to our syndicate trainer Jamie Snowden & connections who have two lovely young horses out this afternoon, Souriyan & Monbeg Theatre.
