We have our last runner of the year this afternoon at Haydock. West Of The Edge runs in the feature race at 2:00, The Last Fling Chase.

West Of The Edge ran fine at Kelso on his last run, we knew we didn't have much chance going into the race as the ground was against WOTE. Conditions will be far more suitable today. We could have done with a few extra furlong though, 3m3f is a little on the sharp side for West Of The Edge.

If the race turns into a real stamina test, better the chance our horse will have. The concern would be one of the high rated 3 mile horses staying the trip and the pace been a bit quick from the outset. West Of The Edge seems in good form so we'll see how we go.
