I'm really looking forward to today's racing. We have Pirate Of The Sea making his racecourse debut in the 2:35 at Uttoxeter. Plus a horse I’ve been looking forward to watching over a fence, makes his chasing debut at the meeting.

Across the water at Down Royale, the likes of Queens Brook, Abacadabras and Envoi Allen all run on a cracking card at the Irish track.

Pirate Of The Sea is a full brother to Broughtons Admiral a horse that we’ve done very well with. He’s also similar in appearance. Pirate will need a trip just like his brother, he’s not very quick and will be a three miler that requires soft ground in time.

This looks a warm NH flat race, Harry Fry tends to run his best bumper horses at Uttoxeter. Pirate Of The Sea will likely find it all happening a bit quick. He’s a nice horse but not a bumper type and will be going over hurdles after this initial outing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if King Roland developed into a possible Arkle horse. If he’s fit for today I have no idea, I'm confident he could take high rank over a fence.

We had a successful shopping trip at Tattersalls this week purchasing two horses. Awesomedude, a winner of his last five races on the flat and rated 88. He’ll go jumping in the Spring.

Saramenha, a gorgeous looking 2yo chestnut filly that is bred for a trip and was seen flying home at Bath over 1m2f on just her second start. She will be perfect for juvenile hurdling in the summer and a good thing to win on the level over 1m4f plus.
