A good day was had at Newcastle despite the awful weather. We learnt plenty about Bishop Of Bling whilst Mountain Rescue ran a cracker in a very good race, losing out on a place in the last 75 yards.

Cartmel today with Milrow in the 20k feature race on the card.

This will take a lot of winning. Milrow could do with coming down a few pounds in the handicap “128 rated” he’s so consistent though and gives his all every time so the handicapper doesn’t relent.

Today’s race has a lot of strength in depth as it should with 20k up for grabs.

We hope a sharp track like Cartmel will suit Milrow style of running. Sam Twiston Davies knows the horse and gets on with him very well, I'm sure the partnership will give it a good go and we'll see what happens.

Tom Jones plays after racing so it’s set to be another good day out of the owners.
