The Doncaster Lincoln meeting signals the start of the flat season. This meeting seems to creep up on you each year, a big flat meeting, but then little happens on the level for next three weeks.
With Aintree taking place next week, I won’t be focusing much on the level until the Grand National is out of the way. We should have a runner on National day, it’s a brilliant afternoon for owners to be involved with.
I’m told is Auxerre is well ahead of his rating in the Lincoln, he’s expected to take a lot of beating, priced at 7-2. Just You Wait 4:45, works nicely with horses that are rated mid-80 and above. If that will prove enough to win, we’ll see. Could green and all that on debut. He’s an early horse for the notebook and will be winning races during the flat season ahead.
