We’re off to Bangor today with our syndicate horse Gran Maestro who runs in the 4:35, Sam Twiston Davies rides takes the ride.

Donald McCain’s runner Prince Khurram is the key in today’s race, the horse was Listed class on the flat and joined current connections for 65k. He’s run twice in the UK finishing 3rd & 2nd behind two smart types rated 130 & 138 respectively.

Prince Khurram is running off the back of a 190 day break but his trainer targets Bangor “his local track” fitness won't be an issue, the horse will be very hard to beat with A P McCoy in the saddle.

Hold The Fort & Welsh Walls haven’t shown much so far, on paper it looks like were racing for 2nd place along with Heist & World Record.

Heist was 4th on debut beaten 4 lengths, this was a good effort that can be marked up as his jockey was easy on him in the final furlong. He achieved a RPR of 117, with normal improvement Heist looks sure to go well.

World Record was a flat horse until 17 days ago, ran & finished 2nd. Trainer John Quinn is a master with these types, he will be well schooled and is clearly in good form.

Prize money goes down to 3rd place, if we can finish in the three we’ll be more than happy. Plenty of shareholders are making the journey so I’m sure were going to have another great day out as we always do.

No real selections for today although Time Test is held in very high regard and looks to have a solid chance of opening his account in the 3:00 at Sandown.
