It was very frustrating to lose the Eider Chase last weekend where our very own, Hugo ‘N Taz was the favourite for the £80,000 race. I’m really fed up of the weather now as no doubt everybody is up and down the country.

It’s been another awful wet week. As per the last two weekends running, another storm is currently emptying its contents on the country.

Newbury has gone but somehow Doncaster has been given the go ahead. Ground conditions will be biblical. More horses will pull up than finish. It’s a day to pull the duvet back over your head and see what Sunday brings.

I’m giving the racing a wide birth, little can be gained or learnt in such conditions.

In other news, we purchased a new horse this week. A 3yo filly from Ireland in a private deal. She landed in the early hours of this morning and is our first ever five furlong sprinter. Shares will be available.
