We have two runners today, Newbury and Bangor-on-Dee.
Pisgah Pike runs first in the 2:25 at Newbury. It's a big ask for Pike who ran well at Kempton earlier in the week. Giving 24lb to a well handicapped horse was too much. The faster they go, the better it will suit Pike who carries a low weight. Prize money goes down to sixth place, if we can grab some of that, it will have been a sound effort.
Next up is Quiet Penny in the 3:07. This is her first run for us and after some time off the racecourse. We like Quiet Penny, but she's up against race fit horses and will certainly improve for the run. It's great to have her back on the racecourse and touch wood she shows some promise.
I've not had the chance to go through the rest today's racing.
