After a busy and long week at the Newmarket sales, we did secure a smart looking horse in Royal Reef. We paid 33,000gns for this son od Duke Of Marmalade. A four-time winner from just 11 races and winner of his last two starts this 83-rated flat horse looks ideal for National Hunt racing and has quality written all over him.

He’s 16.3 and built like a tank, stays two miles on the level whilst is beautifully bred. He goes into training with Dan Skelton, more info on the horse will be available over the weekend.

Today we have a runner at Wetherby in Milrow who lines up in the 2:45.

This will be Milrow’s last race of the year a he’s been on the go for a long time. The horse has done his owners proud and given us some great fun. Milrow looks ready for his holidays now but we are taking advantage of the weight of age rule and hope Milrow has one last big effort in him.
