We have our first runners of the week this afternoon, likes a bus, two come at once. Mountain Rescue runs first in the Silver Cambridgeshire at 5:15. Mountain Rescue missed out on running in the main Cambridgeshire race by just two runners. The Silver version is still a valuable contest though with 50k up for grabs.

Mountain Rescue didn’t run his race at Leicester last time out, the ground went soft whilst Mountain Rescue got himself in a muddle running down hill from the outset. A return to Newmarket should suit, our horse has won on both courses at HQ. The step up in trip should be fine providing Mountain Rescue settles, MR has won over 1m2 before.

This will likely be Mountain Rescue’s last run for us, he will go to the Newmarket sales next month. He’s been brilliant buy and is out longest serving horse. Mountain Rescue has won a race every season whilst took his owners to Royal Ascot earlier this year. He’s also paid for his purchase price and much more in the years we’ve owned him.

His owners will have a great day with another runner at Newmarket, hopefully Mountain Rescue can run a nice race.

Aldrin runs shortly afterwards in the 5:35 at Worcester. Buzz as we call him needed his first run after some time off, he tired quickly. He’s a big old unit and takes some getting fit. With that run under his belt, Aldrin should have improved a good deal from a fitness point of view.

This looks quite a trappy race with plenty of horses holding chances, touch wood Aldrin takes a step forward.
