Newt won by 6 lengths for us and her owners at Uttoxeter yesterday. Newt was always travelling strongly and won easily beating some well fancied horses from big yards. She was given a nice ride by Sam Twiston Davies. Newt had improved plenty for her first start of the season, it was a smart training effort from Alastair Ralph.
Newt should go in again and will get further. She’s a big mare that will jump a fence. This win was our 4th in just over two weeks.
I've had little time to go through the racing in detail today, it’s all go at the moment whilst the trip to Galway with Leoncavallo is getting close.
Lot’s of rain overnight, soft ground at a few fixtures.
The big race of the day in the King George at Ascot. Poet’s Word would be my pick. Sleeping Lion, 5:20 should also go close.
Golden Valour is a horse worth putting in your tracker, he makes his debut today in the 2:15 at Newmarket priced at 9-2. The going is now soft at HQ. This would be an unknown for Golden Valour who is held in some regard. Work at home is of high order. Win or lose “big excuse on soft” keep with Golden Valour he’s smart and will reward at some point.
Staying with Godolphin, Bedouin’s Story could be well handicapped off 75, 5:40 Newmarket.
