I’ve not passed on any thoughts this week regarding Glorious Goodwood as it’s a meeting I don’t particularly enjoy and find it very hard to find winners at. You need so much luck in running at Goodwood and there seems to be plenty of hard luck stories over the week

I’ll admit I had mixed feeling watching The Gurkha win yesterday. I had a good bet on The Gurkha at Royal Ascot and I think it’s fair to say he should have won. Ryan Moore made no mistake this time around though and had his mount track Galileo Gold. It was a good ding dong battle between the pair in the last furlong but Moore got him home and turned the form around.

Maybe the connections of Galileo Gold could have a pace maker next time as it’s very hard to make all at this level.

It will be interesting to see how Blue Point gets on today in the 2:35. The horse is held in very high regard by Godolphin and been very impressive in his two wins. Blue Point steps up into Group company for the first time against proven Group horses, I’m not sure he should be odds on but he’s the best 2yo the boys in blue have.
