We were really pleased with Mountain Rescue at Bath on Tuesday, it was a solid debut for us, 3^rd beaten a length and a three quarters. We learnt a lot about the horse and William Buick was helpful with his feedback. Mountain Rescue looks a nice recruit and will give his owners plenty of fun on the level before going jumping at some point.

The Punchestown Festival has been a bit of a damp squid so far, many of the top horses aren’t running whist the ones that have turned up have been under par. It looked like a case of one run too many for Cue Card, Vautour & York Hill.

Hopefully Douvan doesn’t suffer the same fate this evening.
