We had a really good day at Fontwell with Dino Mite & Rhythm Star who ran sound races, both horses are far from the finished product and will keep improving. It was good to get out and work off the Christamas turkey.

Silviniaco Conti won the King George in good style, the horse put in an exhibition round of jumping and ran his rivals into the ground whilst Faugheen looks the real deal and a worthy Champion Hurdler contender. The winning time was very quick but i'm not sure he should be the 5-4 favourite for the Champion as he’s not ran against or beat a Jezki or The New One yet.

I’ve not had a huge amount of time to go through the racing today but, I think Seamour can win under a penalty in the 2:05 Wetherby, I know the Alan King horse that was 2nd behind Seamour is pretty much the best young hurdler in the yard and is well fancied for the Triumph, were not going to get rich backing the Brian Ellison trained runner at 7-4 but he should go very close.

Over in Ireland at Leopardstown The Paddy Power Chase 2:55 will take a bit of winning but the top weight Foxrock is well clear on ratings and just the best horse in the race by a distance.

Foxrock looks to have been trained for this and with a clear round his class should tell. Priced at 11-2 he looks a good EW bet with 5 places paid by the majority of bookies.
