Not much time today for a full Saturday blog, I’ll be setting the Sky box to record Newmarket for future reference.

The 3:15 is interesting in what looks a two horse race between Thunderous and Volkan Star.

Thunderous is the favourite, unbeaten in three starts and could be a Group horse. All three runs however have been over seven furlongs, today’s distance is 1m2f whilst it’s seasonal debut.

It’s quite possible Thunderous is in a different league but at the odds, I’ll chance Volkan Star who is race fit and proven at the trip. The difference in prices looks a bit big, 6-4 on Volkan Star looks worth chancing.

I thought Delta’s Royalty would be much shorter than even money in the 5:35.
