Trafalgar Rock made a winning debut for his owners at Uttoxeter yesterday, Nelson as we call him won hard held by 9 lengths. It was a really nice debut and despite winning easily, Trafalgar Rock was green in parts of the race and will improve fitness wise for the outing.

Jockey Sam Twiston Davies was pleased with his efforts and said he did everything as well as possible on his first start over hurdles. There’s room for improvement on his jumping and he’ll likely appreciate a faster pace and further in time. Nelson doesn’t look like an ex flat horse, standing at 16.3 hands, he’s big powerful gelding that will jump a fence in time.

Trafalgar Rock’s win comes on the back of Milrow also winning on debut “ten lengths” the week before. We have a nice team of young horses on paper and most importantly their doing it on the racecourse too.
