It was a very good start to the flat season from a punting point of view, Zabeel Prince landed the gamble with little fuss. Backed in from 7-4 into 10-11. Hopefully you took the hint he was very strongly fancied.
Addeybb winning the Lincoln was the icing on the cake, there was never a moments worry from an early stage. Hopefully all readers won a good few quid on the day.
We’re Hereford bound today with Broughtons Admiral who runs in the 2:15, Sam Twiston Davies takes the ride.
Broughtons Admiral came out of the jumpers bumpers race at Kempton in good form, he ran a decent race finishing 4th. The trip of two miles on the level possibly stretched BA whilst he was taking on older horses.
Todays race looks to be all about Salix who reportedly cost a lofty sum after winning on debut in France. Salix was the subject of good reports when making his debut but ran very green behind the classy Redicean. Salix has been given plenty of time since, it would be no surprise to see him outclass everything.
Rococo River is nicely bred and comes from a yard that do well in Juvenile hurdles, he falls into the could be anything category.
If Salix still needs the experience and the same can be said for Rococo River, the race is wide open. We could have done without the overnight rain but hopefully Broughtons Admiral can run another sound race before going on his holidays.
