Howlingmadmurdock ran a sound race yesterday in the big Stayers Hurdle. Murdock finished 8th and as expected, was done for speed on the ground. The race wasn't a test and also run at a slow pace which gave us little chance.

We have another runner today at Uttoxeter, Only The Bold takes his chance in the 1:40.

Conditions should be fine for Bold, but he's a staying chaser over a marathon trip, which will come later in the season. Everything until then is getting him spot on. If we can pinch a bit of prize money, that would be grand.
