We’re off to Market Rasen today with Gran Maestro who will be trying to win The Racing FX Prelude Listed Hurdle and bid to land the Summer / Autumn double.

The likes of Laudatory, Commissioned & Manhattan Swing all line-up again whilst Broughton, Swansea Mile and Queen Alphabet add further strength to the field. The race will certainly take some winning however if Gran Maestro can repeat his Summer Hurdle efforts that should give him a good chance of been in the first three.

Manhattan Swing is the horse to beat in my eyes. He was a little unlucky when 3^rd behind GM, didn’t get a clear run but was motoring at the finish. Manhattan Swing has run and won again since in good style whilst the 3^rd placed horse in that race came out and won this week to frank the form.

Whatever the result today Gran Maestro owes us nothing, he’s a smashing horse and keeps paying for himself. If he can be in the places “fingers crossed better “ this will be the tenth run on the bounce he’s got his owners into the winner’s enclosure.

The weather is set fair and a beer festival is taking place at the racecourse, what more could you want for a great day out?
