Shareholders of Rhythm Star had a great time at trainer Jamie Snowden’s yard on Saturday, they were able to watch Star work on the Lambourn gallops whilst Jamie kindly introduced us to the yards other horses in his care and told us a bit about them.

Jamie has been busy at the sales during the summer months and purchased some very nice types with beautiful breeding and top form, with luck is should be a successfully season for the team at Folly house.

Rhythm Star is looking great and doing two daily canters, she’s still carrying some condition but her coat is soft as silk.

We watched our mare work over a stiff uphill climb of five furlongs twice, it was only a medium paced workout but she did it all in her stride and had a good kick and buck at the same time. Her work rider informed Star feels stronger for the summer break and in great form.

Jamie is very happy with her the progress and were all looking to seeing Rhythm Star make her hurdles debut at some point in October.

We didn’t have any joy with the selections on Friday and some bad luck at the same time. High Jinx was pulled out due to the quick ground whilst Chancery lost all chance when just about falling over as the stalls opened.

Dissolution is a winner in waiting once stepped up in trip, outpaced from the outset and never on the bridle. It wasn’t until the final furlong Dissolution found his feet and ran on strongly finishing full of running. Make a note of him.
