Rhythm Star ran another very respectable race yesterday finishing 2nd but unfortunately just bumped into one on the day that’s on the upgrade. We beat what we thought was our main rival Maybe Plenty who's rated 4lb better than us but the Michael Scudamore trained runner was well in.

Streets Of Promise would have got her head in front last time out if not for falling so didn’t carry the winners penalty, she won well so we don’t have any excuses.

Rhythm Star deserves a crack at the mare’s final at Newbury next month plus the chance to run on some decent ground. Star has raced 7 times and either won or been placed in 6 of those runs, she’s genuine as they come and won over £10,000 for her owners.

I’ll watch with interest how Alfie Spinner goes today in the 3:20 at Ludlow, if you get chance view his previous outing at Cheltenham. If on a going day Alfie Spinner has more than enough ability to go close in this at a decent odds, currently 13-2 an EW price.
