The weather gods didn’t help our runners over the weekend, despite this we still had a 2nd & 3rd place.

Ebony Express bounced in the Summer Hurdle as we feared he could. If anybody can work out the bounce factor they’d become very rich overnight.

Mountain Rescue ran a cracker at Newmarket finishing 2nd and 4.5 lengths clear of the 3rd placed horse. Unfortunately we ran into a future Group horse on the day and faced an impossible task. It was a very good effort though on awful ground.

Included chances went with the weather. Three hours of torrential rain hit Cartmel in the morning turning the going heavy. Come our race “last on the card” the ground had become churned up and conditions were like running on glue. Included hated it but grabbed 3rd place.

Two possible runners this week, the weather will decide if we run or not as the forecast is damp.
