We’re at Alastair Ralph’s this morning with the owners of Included & Velvet Revolution who will be watching their horses work on the gallops.

By the time you read this we’ll be at Alastair’s so no further updates.

We had a good day at the Doncaster sales on Wednesday and secured the only horse we wanted.

Quiet Penny.

A 17-length winner on soft ground when last seen, this was her first try over three miles a distance that she’s bred for. Quiet Penny comes from a top jumping family, she’s also a stunning looking mare with plenty of bone. Standing at a big 16.2h, we fell in love with her and believe she’s going to be very smart.

We hope she’ll end up running over distances of 4 miles.

Quiet Penny also qualifies for the NHMOPS program as she was bred by English horses. There are hundreds of NHMOPS races at all level. If Quite Penny wins one of these mares’ only races, she picks up a 10k bonus on top of the prize money. This is a lifetime program and could work out very lucrative!

I’m hopeful she’s one of the most exciting horses we’ve ever purchased.
