This will be the last update for a week or so as I’m taking a short break and visiting a few people too.

Its Champions day at Lingfield, we have highly competitive racing on offer with really good prize money up for grabs. The bumper crowd should be treated to some thrilling action.

I’ve not had any bets but thought Ballynanty EW, priced at 6-1 should run well in the 2:40. It’s likely Moonrise Landing will take a bit of beating but he’s not ran since December and would have to be cherry ripe to win this on his return. Ballynanty ran a career best last time out and would have likely won if not for getting checked when making his move. It’s possible he has a bit more to come over staying trips.

The 3:15 looks between the top two in the betting on paper, Sovereign Debt & Mindurownbusiness. I’ve just sided with the Roger Varian horse, Mindurownbusiness as he looks better drawn in stall 5 and could be still on the upgrade.

Do tune into the Dubai World Cup fixture tomorrow evening, it’s a terrific meeting with no expensive spared by the hosts. I’m hoping California Chrome can land the big one despite a nasty draw.
