The team of Willie Mullins and high profile owner Mr Ricci dominated the weekend once again with some of their flagship horses.

Two graded winners at Ascot on Saturday with Vroum Vroum & Un De Sceaux then Douvan & Faugheen dotted up in Ireland on Sunday. The ammunition they have is quite incredible, I dare say no trainer / owner has had such a group of high class horses together at the same time. The pair look an unstoppable force at the moment whilst bookies are offering just 6-4 that Wllie Mullins trains 10 or more winners at the Cheltenham Festival. I certainly won’t be taking them on.

Our horse Ebony Express again moved and jumped great for 85% of the race at Ascot on Saturday. However when asked to go he didn’t find anything as per his two previous races. He also failed to stay the trip on such bad ground. We’ll give him a few easy weeks and go again.
