Racing from Cheltenham takes centre stage today, it’s a fair card but nothing special. A few of the races have small field sizes which is disappointing.
I’ve had a speculative few pounds EW on Chidswell in the 2:33 at Kelso.
This a decent staying race with the likes of Truckers Lodge, 2nd in the Welsh National and winner of the Midlands version making the long journey. Paul Nicholls sending one all this way is likely a tip in itself, but the quicker ground could be negative.
Some Chaos has a fitness advantage whilst Rocky’s Treasure has been well supported but needs to prove his wellbeing.
Chidswell might be a sporting EW bet. He carries no weight, enjoys it around Kelso and fitness won’t be an issue. Brian Hughes in the saddle suggests he’s ready to go. 8-1 EW looks fair with everything in his favour.
