Monbeg Charmer & Royal Altitude brought home the bacon for us on Thursday, 2 nice winners and 2 heavily backed winners. Plenty of 7-4 was available on Monbeg Charmer who he won very easily at 10-11 whilst Royal Altitude was backed from 12-1 the night before into 5-2, 5-1 was still available when highlighted.

Thankfully plenty of rain is forecast for today, the going will change as the day goes on so keep an eye on that. I can’t find a bet at Cheltenham, it’s a tricky card and nothing of any value stands out.

The only bet I’ve placed is Esteaming EW in the 3:10 at Doncaster, priced at 7-1.

I like this horse even though he’s not won for 15 races. Esteaming battles hard, sticks his head out at the business end of the race and keeps running well in solid handicaps. The return to one mile four is ideal whilst the soft ground will be no bother at all.

Regular jockey Graham Gibbons is back doing the steering and this looks an easier task of late, Esteaming looks to have a good EW chance at fair odds.

Updates won’t happen until Friday at the earliest next week as I’m heading to Newmarket tomorrow afternoon for the horses in training sales. The hundreds of hours of study is now done so he’s hoping a few of the horses we like fall into budget.
