Yesterday’s racing from Royal Ascot was fantastic, I think we saw one of the best quality races for some time.

The Commonwealth Cup won by the Aidan O’Brien trained Caravaggio, was a brilliant race. Drama at the start with Caravaggio rearing in the stalls and then a three-way battle at the business end made great viewing.

Harry Angel & Blue Point finished 2nd & 3rd respectively. They both look top class sprinters and will surely win Group 1 races when not meeting Caravaggio. Caravaggio could be a bit special, when Moore & O’Brien both talk a horse up we know it’s good.

Winter confirmed she’s in a different league to her rivals when taking the Coronation Stakes, it was a good day for O’Brien team.

The final day of Royal Ascot this afternoon.

The reports on Kidmenever in the 3:05 are decent. First start for Charlie Appleby this afternoon. When last seen Kidmenever was running in some very good races at Meydan and running well. His form in Meydan would make him competitive. With any improvement, he should be involved in the finish. 9-2 EW with 4 places on offer looks ok in a tough handicap.

I’m with a Royale winner in the Hardwicke Stakes at 3:40. Dartmouth looks to have ever chance of giving the Queen a Royal Ascot winner.

The Tin Man should go very close in the Diamond Jubilee. I’m sure his first start of the season was a prep outing. The Champion Sprint winner ran fine at York but wasn’t given a hard time. His appearance also suggested there was more to come.

11-2 EW 4 places, “5 with Sky Bet but nobody can bet with them if you want more than a quid on” looks decent value. I think he'll go close.

Danzeno could outrun his odds in the Wokingham at 5:00. This is a drop in class and the return to six furlongs is ideal. His outing over seven furlongs on seasonal debut was surely a fitness run. 20-1 EW looks worth a go, few bookies paying 6 places.

The final race of Royale Ascot is all about Thomas Hobson. If he repeats the same level of form showed when winning the Ascot Stakes on Tuesday he’ll win this.
