We’re off to Southwell today with Gran Maestro who runs in the 3:15. Sam Twiston Davies takes the ride.

Gran Maestro is having a spin over hurdles after falling last time out when chasing. The trip of two miles is a bit on the short side as Granny would like further, however he’s taking on 20lb lesser rated horses than normal.

This is a selling race so it’s possible Gran Maestro could go under the hammer if he was to win the race. The horse has been a fantastic buy for us, won the most valuable Summer race of 2015 and has collected 35k in prize money for his owners. That’s some return.

What will be will be today but I'll protect Gran Maestro up to a certain price that we think is fair, the main thing this afternoon is Granny enjoys himself and can hopefully give his long term loyal owners a good day out.
