Trafalgar Rock made it two wins from two runs for his owners at Worcester. The horse has taken to jumping well and is looking a nice recruit from the October sales. Much stiffer tasks lay ahead and a step up in trip will take be on the agenda at some point. Trafalgar Rock ran over two miles on the flat, from what we’ve seen he keeps galloping so three miles over hurdles will likely be his trip long term.

Plenty of racing this afternoon with 7 meetings, the highlight being the King George at Ascot. I don’t have any real thoughts on the race but it’s a lovely pot to win with £689,000 for the winner. I’ve not really gone through the cards in detail as the sun is shining and a day outside is planned.

However, I backed Folkswood at Royal Ascot but the ground went heavy and the Charlie Appleby trained horse didn’t look to enjoy the surface. Back on quick going he can be given another chance in what looks a hard race. 6-1 EW looks just about ok.

Finally, at Salisbury Mujaamil should also enjoy running on quick ground for the first time in his career. Mujaamil was possibly in need of the run at Haydock and has been given plenty of time by connections, this race looks a fair opportunity to get off the mark, priced at 2-1.
