We had a fantastic day at Newmarket on Saturday, Mountain Rescue won the Betway Casino Stakes for his owners. Ridden by William Buick, Mountain Rescue showed once again he’s very smart and won this competitive 0-95 race readily.

Mountain Rescue has won races every season for us, he was rated 78 when we purchased him back in February 2016, now holds a rating of 96. Chris Wall has done a tremendous job with the horse. The win on Saturday was on the Rowley Mile, Mountain Rescue had already won on the July racecourse for us. Winning at both Newmarket tracks is a grand feather in the cap to have.

William Buick thought Mountain Rescue should take his chance in some of the big valuable handicaps. We’ve put entries in for the 180k Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot whilst the 115k Bunbury Cup at Newmarket could also be on the agenda. Mountain Rescue has earnt his place in such races, there will be plenty of big days out for his owners through the Summer months.

To top the day off, Purser the only horse highlighted on Saturday landed some nice bets whilst we we’re at Newmarket. The price drift from 6-5 to 6-4 was very handy.

The 2:20 at Yarmouth is worth watching today. I’m told Legends Of War, Leading Spirit & San Donato are all held in high regard by connections. This is a well above average Novice Stakes, plenty of winners will come out of the race. Whoever wins will be smart and likely run at Royal Ascot.

The Doncaster horses in training sales start today. We’ve been working on this sale for the past two weeks and put many hours of work into the sale. We do well buying horses at Doncaster, West Of The Edge, Leoncavallo and many more. Hopefully we can secure one of the horses on our shortlist.
