Off to Ascot today with Ebony Express who runs in another big TV race at 2:25, a Grade 3 Handicap Hurdle worth £50,000.

Ebony Express hasn’t been at his best so far this season due a few niggles and a virus, however we’re hoping the horse is slowly coming back to himself. We’re stepping up in trip today as we feel an extra couple of furlongs will help Ebony travel a bit better.

Ascot has a stiff uphill finish and horses have to stay well at the best of times. With the going described as heavy this race will ride like two miles five. We don’t know if our horse will get this trip on bad ground but obviously hope he does.

Charlie Hammond’s 10lb claim should help though and give Ebony every chance of doing so. Whatever the result it’s great to be running at another top class racecourse on a Saturday.
