A busy day for Value Racing Club and it’s owners. We have runners at Market Rasen, Newmarket & Cartmel.

In time order, Ebony Express runs in the 2:10 at Market Rasen.

Ebony lines up in the Listed Summer Hurdle, this is the most valuable hurdle race of the Summer. As a racing club / syndicate trying to compete at the highest level, it’s important to have runners at this meeting. If we didn’t that would be disappointing.

Ebony Express returned at Uttoxeter with a win, unexpected but his ability and toughness got him through. This race comes quick enough but it’s the obvious one to go for. We’ve kept Ebony Express fresh as possible and he seems in good shape. If EE is still the same horse as he was when winning the 2015 Imperial Cup and remains sound, Ebony Express has an obvious chance.

We won this big pot in 2015 and will give it another good go today.

Next up is Mountain Rescue running at Newmarket in the 5:00. Having a runner on a Saturday at headquarters doesn’t get much better. This will be a great day out for Mountain Rescue’s owners.

We drop down to seven furlongs for the first time as MR has been showing more speed of late. The 3yo’s that get the weight for age allowance hold all the aces in this. Mountain Rescue remains in good form though and conditions are ideal. I’m sure he’ll run another game race.

Last up is Included in the 5:20 at Cartmel. We’ve certainly got the runners spread around the country today!

Included won nicely at Worcester by 14 lengths, it was a poor race though. Today's race is more competitive whilst Included runs on soft ground for the first time. We have no idea if she will handle it. Cartmel wouldn’t be ideal for Included but we hope her class will counter that.

Whatever the results of our owners horses this afternoon, were competing in big races at nice meetings on a Saturday. That’s what we’re trying to build. If you keep throwing enough darts one will stick.
