Both of our weekend runners ran decent races, the conditions went against Stung For Cash whilst he did plenty wrong due to his inexperience. Cash will have learned plenty for this run and was beaten far. He’s crying out for heavy ground and a trip.

Broughtons Admiral ran into a plot horse that had three no show runs for a rating at odds upto 100-1. It was just about impossible to win the race, the winner likely had 20lb in hand. Broughtons Admiral was a solid second. It does become a little frustrating coming up against such horses when you try and do everything right your end. I notice there wasn’t anything said by the stewards as ever to explain the improvement.

Trigger Nichol takes his chance today in the 2:40 at Leicester. We step Trigger Nichol up in trip on his second start over a fence. Trigger was badly outpaced on chase debut. Hopefully todays distance will suit better and Trigger puts his best hoof forward.
