We have Dame De Ruban running at Ascot this afternoon in the 1:30. It’s always nice to have a Saturday runner at a big racecourse in a decent race.

Dame De Ruban has run two sound races for her owners so far, the big question mark today would be the ground. All form comes on sound surface and Ascot certainly won’t be that. This race will be a real slog, we don’t have a clue if Dame will handle such conditions.

She’s a tough mare that gives her all, we’ll learn something either way and that’s always the most important thing.
