Great racing on offer this afternoon, with the likes of Vautour & Silviniaco Conti lining up in the Stella Artois Chase & Betfair Chase respectably.
The ground will best testing at Ascot & Haydock, stamina will certainly be tested for many a runners. Do ensure you go with proven soft ground horses that stay the trip.
I think a few of the favourites could be tough to beat at Ascot. Red Hanrahan in the 12:20 would have won on debut for Paul Nicholls if not for falling three out, with a clear round he looks the one to beat.
I’m told the right people have backed Alyaa “15-8” in the 12:15 at Lingfield, the race looks a little trappy for my liking but it seems there’s some confidence behind the horse. Over at Wolverhampton tonight in the 6:45, the Saeed bin Suroor trained Al Fattan “3-1” has been working well at home and a good run is hoped for on debut.
We have Kenobe Star running at Exeter tomorrow, the horse made a nice start to his National Hunt career when finishing 4th at Huntingdon. He’s a work in process horse and is still quite green and weak, Kenobe will be grand in time so we’re just looking for another promising effort.
