Captain Square runs at Newton Abbot this evening in the 5:45. This is Captain Square's hurdles debut and debut for us at the same time.

Juvenile Hurdles at this time of the year aren't the best, but it's hard to know what you're up against. There is no form to go on apart from what the horse did on the level.

Alphonse Le Grande was the best of these on the flat, whilst Hill Station was perhaps just learning in prep for hurdles. His last run was eye catching, and Gary Moore does well in these races. Money is arriving.

Captain Square hadn't seen a hurdle 36 days ago, it's a quick turnaround, but he's taken to jumping well enough at home.
