Hopefully your might have taken the advice on Saturday that Mahsoob is very well regarded and had a few quid on. Jockey Paul Hanagan did a great job getting the horse up from a horrible draw but did so without racing in the car park and gave Mahsoob a peach of a ride

He’s a decent individual and well liked at home, keep with the horse.

The star performance from the weekend must have been Intilaaq who was very impressive, the horse seemed to run at six furlong pace for a mile and simply ran his rivals into the ground. This was a very taking effort and that of a serious horse.

It will be interesting to see where Intilaaq goes next, he’s in the Derby and Irish Guineas. I’m not sure he’s a Epsom type such is the speed he showed, surely if that’s his style of running he can’t get one mile four? Either way it’s going to take something very smart to beat him based on Saturday’s efforts.

Couple of weeks ago I gave Llyrical a good word and thought the horse had been setup for a gamble, we nearly got it right but the Mike Murphy trained runner finished 3rd and could only land the EW money after been very well backed.

Llyrical goes again this evening in the 9:05 at Wolverhampton, dropping down to seven furlongs looks ideal and this is a winnable race. Shane Kelly takes over in the saddle, not sure if that’s good or bad but a repeat of his last effort should see him go well.

The price of 11-2 EW looks fair.
